I don’t think I’ve ever seen a black Jesus or holy painting in a thrift store, so I figured I should make one. I painted over what used to be Jesus standing there, looking wistful.

I’ve seen a black Jesus before and I like this one’s expressive face. To me the eyes are wonderfully knowing.
